EDULOG has been steadily hiring since April, and Alpha Communications is increasing the size of its hardware installation team by 38% this summer.

Georgia district to test bus passenger tracking system

Gordon County Schools will conduct a pilot program of StudentConnect. Company officials say that the system provides real-time notification to parents and school transportation officials when students fail to get on the school bus, as well as when they enter or exit the bus at the wrong stop.

Zonar, NAPT award $50K equipment grant

The Transportation Joint Agreement operating at Crystal Lake (Ill.) School Districts 47 and 155 receives the grant at the 2012 NAPT Summit. Officials say the money will be used to outfit school buses with a combination of Zonar’s Electronic Vehicle Inspection Report, V3 telematics platform and ZPass.
Seon Design, U.S. Computing to offer integrated solution

Seon’s vMax Live Plus real-time tracking system will be combined with U.S. Computing’s routing software — vMax Live Plus AVL data will be shared with the Compass web-based routing application. Officials say that pupil transporters will have the ability to conduct comparative analysis of planned versus actual routes, as well as generate reports on route efficiency, fleet performance and driver behavior.

Cook-Illinois to expand use of Zonar telematics platform
