Back a few years when my CE's had the steering wheel overhead activated lights... It happened all the time... Not sure what you have or if they are even an option now.... Otherwise I have found pulled,chaffed, and broken wires in all kinds of strange places on a CE student lights stop arm should be (zero voltage reference) ground operated from body controller.. good luck
I agree with slippert. We have had problems with the steering wheel controls and removed all of them from the wheel and put them in the dash on switches. No problem since.
Red lights come on by themselves
