We thought you might be interested in this story on four states that are considering requiring lap-shoulder belts on school buses: New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Washington.

I would still like to see studies done on different devices being used to accomplish the same outcome. My shtick has been bonded laminate student windows. Thereby keeping students inside the bus during a crash.

Laminated windows will only stop students from being thrown from the bus, possibly. Watch this video of what the dummies are doing inside the bus. Laminated windows will do nothing for the injuries happening here.

Yeah, it looks scary for sure. The other scary thing I have on my mind is evacuation during a fire or other non-crash event that endangers a child's life. I wonder how many fires there are vs. serious crashes?
