Newark City Schools closed today due to an overnight fire in the garage that knocked out the repeater system. Early reports say no injury, no buses damaged, but a loss of parts and tools.
That is sad, but it could have been a lot worse. They are about 45 minutes away and I did not here anything about it. Do they know what started it yet? I hope they are able to use another location until they can rebuild. We have to keep an up to date inventory on our tools for the district to help in such an event.
