I have a somewhat weird question. Do any of you guys know if the insulation that is in the ceiling of the bus is flammable? We had a driver that dented part of the roof of her bus on a tree branch and our body guy is concerned about using his stud gun to pull out the dent if the insulation is flammable. The bus is a 2014 Blue Bird D3RE.

Older buses just used fiberglass, but I don't know what they use now.

When I have cut panels with a die grinder the insulation does burn slightly but goes out right away. if you are really worried you could take out a piece of insulation and try to get it to catch fire.

We have a body guy that welds with the insulation behind it. I've even used a plasma cutter to cut holes in the exterior sheet metal and that insulation goes right out, doesn't even look like it wants to catch fire. I haven't had any issues.
