If any of you follow my posts much you'll probably recall that I started having trouble with the cat 3126 breaking rings and having to be rebuilt back in about 2011. I have gotten by with a pretty cheap rebuilt since on (I think) 4 engines. The latest has burned as much oil after the rebuild as before. It's using about a quart every 800 to 900 miles (I think it was using about a quart every 300 to 400 before, so I did slow it down lol). Doesn't really smoke though. What are your thoughts? I'm thinking injectors but I've been told there's not much of a way to test for oil usage with them. Oh, I apologize if I've already posted about this. I'm trying to get my thoughts together for the summer and couldn't find, on here, if I had posted about it. Thanks!
How about the turbo? If I recall correctly, if you injector or rings are bad causing oil loss you will have oil in the fuel and the only way to tell that is cut the filter open and check the filter media. I will be black and oily. I guess you could have an injector internally leaking. I assume you have no leaks.

Yeah, could be. Wouldn't a turbo problem smoke like a freight train though?
Side-saddle fuel tank or between the rails? If side, you might be able to take the cap off and see if there is oil going back into the tank. I've heard of a few guys having this over the years.

Depends on how much the turbo is leaking and if it's leaking hot side or cold side.
