I heard a rep from a Bluebird dealer stopped by and talked to my service manager about doing Ford warranty work at our dealer. I am the transmission tech there. What buses are Bluebird putting the Torqueshifts in? Are they 66 pass? I know the 4R75 is being used in the Econolines and the 6R80 is in the Transits.

If the engine is Ford gas or propane, the tranny is Ford 6R140. Can be up to 78 passenger.

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback

These could be up to 78 passenger buses...all will be conventional type with a hood, not transits (flat nose).

I have a few with this trans, all behind a propane V10. Seem to be good transmission. The highest mileage one is just at 70k.
