What does it mean when the tail pipe is turning white inside? We have 15 BB and 2 out of the 15 have turned white inside the tail pipes. It seems to me that the DEF is not getting burned all the way through and causing the tail pipe to turn white. If that's the case then something could be wrong with the DPF. Any one else having these issues? |

If it helps, all of mine are side exhaust. Might have something to do with it? |

It's funny that only 2 out of the 15 BB are doing this. They're all rear exhaust, not sure either if the white tail pipes are using more DEF then the others its tough to gauge it. |

Once at home, seeing the pictures I'll recheck as I was looking for something more noticeable.
But if you notice, the first picture does have what looks like a stain in the same area as white in the second picture. Possibly something that changes from hot to cold, highway driving to stop and go, before or after a regen......... Same busses all the time?
The DEF system watches itself pretty closely and would stop you dead in your tracks LOL if it *saw* a problem. My **guess** would be condensation.Like thw white stuff I get on my propane fireplace glass. |

These are 2 different buses. Only 2 buses out of the 15 look this way (white). I know when DEF dries up it turns white, which is why this is making me say hmmmmm.
Edit: yes the same 2 buses that do this have the tail pipe this way all the time. |

Engine light came on, code has to do with the DEF. I can't be the only one on this planet with this problem.

Perhaps the DEF nozzle is leaking inside the SCR? |

Sending it to the dealer, @krmvcs you're right they told me more than likely the nozzle is leaking inside the SCR. I have enough stuff going on to mess with warranty work. |
