I have a C2 that says the parking brake is still on when its not. I can release the brake but the light won't go out. It then buzzes as your driving because it doesn't think the parking brake is released but it is. does anyone know if there is a sensor that needs changed or something? thanks for any help.

Does this bus have an air parking brake or foot pedal operated park brake? If it’s a foot pedal system and the brake pedal is lifted completely up when the pedal is released then I’d bet that the micro switch on the pedal assembly is either worn out or shifted out of adjustment.

press the release button and lift it up with ur foot.. They either bounce off of or never fully get to the stopper.

Check the strut that pushes the pedal up, we go through a lot of them.

The Micro switch is up under the dash within the parking brake pedal mechanism. You can trace it by following the 2 pin wire harness into the back of the pedal assy. Sometimes they get bent out of place and they are a real PITA to replace.

The parking brake switch is bad. Lay on the floor and look at the brake mechanism. You'll see it. It's mounted to the wall on the left. To get you through annoying times until you get the switch replaced, just unplug it for now. It's a pain in the butt to replace. The best I have found takes 2 guys. Pop the plastic corner piece left at the top left of the dash to access the bolt head. You'll figure it out after a while.
