Hey Guys,
Im looking for a Parker DFC-5 for an 09 Thomas HDX. pn 391 4101 475
trouble is that its been discontinued and the dealer wants to sell me the upgrade kit for over $2000. Anyone know someone who has one just wasting away on a shelf that time forgot?
Thanks in advance.

The only other place that might have one is PLC Center, 800 884-5500. This according to Google search.
Worth a try?

thanks for the info. ill be researching this for a few days. right now i have half a mind to bypass that part of the controller and wire in a temp switch and a relay to control the fan.

bringing this back.

so the fan controller fails to energize the solenoid valve to turn off the fan. everything else works. i could take the bus old school with a temp switch to command the fan when needed and it would be a lot cheaper than $3000 for the parts to upgrade to the newer fan controller. anybody have any thoughts on why i should/should not do this?

I wonder if these fancy controllers are doing a duty cycle modulation instead of just on/off?

they do. and i decided to do the upgrade. if it were an older/spare bus i wouldve gone the cheaper route.
