My Service Maxx has expired so I was wanting to get any fault codes to read in the dash on a 2008 IC CE bus. Was thinking there was a procedure using the cruise control switches somehow?

Turn ignition to on position, press cruise ON and RESUME ACCEL at the same time for about 2-3 seconds. The cluster should light up and cycle, then the codes will appear in the little screen in the center of the cluster.

That is Park Brake relay command,, SAYS park brake relay under current or open circuit,...opencircuit or defective relay or defective solenoid.... 33 IS THE BODY CONTROLLER

Is it a lift bus? I see a simalar code or might be same (previously active) every time I plug in to mine... I think mine is thrown when drivers are doing pretrip brake checks and cycling key on and off while releasing park brake and pumping down system... seems like I was told there was an Iknow article saying a feature could be shut off to keep code from logging all the time... I would have to do some digging to find it....

Thanks, its not a lift bus.

Other inactive codes are;

spn: 3245 FMI: 4

spn: 8321 FMI: 1

Check engine lamp comes and goes, when its on the engine seems to be down on power.

SPN 3245 is Exhaust gas temp 3 above normal

SPN 8321 is VGT performance fault. Most likely the one powering down the engine.

I have had them derate for exh temp sensor malfunctions... too bad your service maxx is down..! you could see if #3 is reading way off from other 2 sensors... I had a #2 sensor sending a false 1800 degree plus signal to ECM when I plugged in service maxx....not too long ago and even though bus wasn't running any hotter than normal, computer though it was.....! so it derated till sensor was changed out...

I have had those sensors work and then not intermitently....or could be wiring to sensor ....IC seems to like to string some harnesses like banjo strings and causes me issues if I don't happen to catch tight spot before it pulls apart..

Ok, I got up and running with ServiceMaxx lite.
When I hooked up my laptop DTC 1744 3245 4 was active and the check engine light was on, it went inactive and the check engine light went off before I could get the temperatures displayed.
Another inactive code is EGT 3 reading off compared to EGT 1 and EGT 2
Play with it again tomorrow.

Replace the EGT3 sensor and you're good to go. Had a few of those issues come up and replacing the sensor cured it.

I found a good you tube video of a Ford Tech replacing an exhaust temp sensor on a pickup. I was able to replace ours without incident.
