Has anyone used these on school buses? They have some kind of extra thick side wall on them?

I just now saw this. Not sure why.
I haven't used them my self. Are they made in China? I looked them up and they look good but couldn't find a country of origin on them.

Found this online:
Aeolus Tire USA. Commercial Truck Tires. Founded in 1965, Aeolus is now the 5th largest tire company in China and a Top 25 global tire manufacturer.

In my opinion, I wouldn't use them. I don't want to chance it. We aren't hauling garbage, grain or freight!

I don't like Chinese tires either. I run by Goodrich dr444 for drive tires on our fleet. Good compromise on cost, mileage and traction. Runs St 244 bfg for steer tires. We run all rural routes with snow and ice 6 months of the year.

Interesting choice for drives. The center looks like a M+S and the outside looks similar to a highway. How do they do in snow? I have gravel and chip & sealed roads and I have quite a bit of trouble with my FD663 Firestones wearing funny on the inside of the inside dual. How do they sound on the highway?

We run Firestone FS561, 11R's all the way around on all but 2 buses that use 10R's.

Our county roads have quite the road crown, all the buses see about 8km of gravel a day. I turn the duals around every year and they stay nice and square. 1 set has 90k miles on them and they are at 8/32". I had that set siped for winter this year and they are still good on the ice and snow.
