We have 5 new IC buses and when the service door is closed and locked, the door pulls open about 10 inches or so. Does anyone else have this problem? Our IC dealer says that IC is working on a solution, but nothing yet. |

Yes. If you make any adjustments to get the doors to close better, then they don't open up all the way when in regular route use. |

The issue is only when they are locked from the outside. Normal operation is fine. |

Ours are air doors with same non complete closure when locked. Its different from past setup but it does not seem all that secure if the door is able to open that much when locked. Another thing - I can not remember, wasn't there something about the door should open with 20LBS of force from inside with the key on and air applied or am I getting more senile? |

Copied from IKnow. • Entrance doors, air cylinder controlled, partially open while driving • Complaints of the pressure regulator has been adjusted and issue still remains • Air door check valve kit can be added to increase cylinder static pressure Part #2596211C92
•Air Regulator/Filter Assembly #9702;Regulator is factory set at 60 psi. Regulator pressure can be increased between 60 psi to 100% system pressure by adjusting the regulator. In areas with high cross winds, adjusting the regulator to full system pressure will assist in eliminating door flutter and gaps during transport #9702;When increasing the air pressure, the open and close speed controls also need to be adjusted to maintain door operating speeds

Yes, it is a different design than what it use to be. Our 2010s have an entirely different setup for the lock. These new ones have a pin that drops down behind one of the bars. We have already replaced most of the pins already, and they aren't even a year in service yet. I'm not sure about the 20 lbs of force from the inside part though. |

OK, the only thing i could find was-shall not exceed 25lbs of force for the manual door control to operate. Senility setting in. Why have you been replacing the lock pins? Bending or breaking? |

They have been bending. I think it is mainly from the drivers pulling on the doors thinking that they are unlocked. I just walked in and International has sent down a tech to adjust doors. We'll see how this goes. I'll update to let everyone know what International has him doing. |

Update: Tech came out and made some "adjustments" to the doors. We now have one that will not lock or is very difficult to lock, one driver got locked in her bus yesterday and her door does not open far enough when in regular service. So, they will be coming back out again. |

Sorry to hear about your problems with intertrashinal. Do you have access to IKnow? they have a detailed instruction list on adjusting all the points in the doors. |

I've looked at the Iknow articles already for the door adjustment procedure, but our biggest thing right now is the fact that they are basically brand new and under warranty, so we want them to fix it. |
