I am working on a story on ensuring clear communication with parents and am wondering if you bus drivers, transportation directors, monitors and other applicable staff can let me know: What's your biggest challenge in communicating with parents?

If you'd rather send an email instead of replying here, feel free to use info@schoolbusfleet.com

Thanks for your help!

As a TD I have had many communications with parents primarily about behavior. I am always careful not to accuse their child of bad behavior, I always indicate the reason for the discipline or referral is for their child's safety. I mention the buses are equipped with air brakes and stop on a dime, I have even sent them crash dummy videos to make my point if I deem it necessary.

Hope it is of some help, you can reach me at guzaldo@yahoo.com if you want to discuss further.
