Are you talking about a lift on a bus for wheel chairs or in the garage?

Sorry Im talking about garage lifts for 72 passenger buses. I have 2 In ground post lifts, both have issues. The lifts are 40 plus years old with no safety lock out in front post. Looking for options

what are the symptoms with your lift?

On my Rotary in ground twin post we had front and rear seals leaking and debris in the hydraulic reservoir and the adjustment chain pulley seized, total cost for repairs was 3,300.

Damn that sounds scary...get in contact with a service & repair company near you to have them do an estimate on repairs needed. Do you work for a district or contract company?

Single post, in-ground Rotary in the front, double in the rear. Ours are only 37 years old but all have ratcheting safety bars. We just had a complete front "piston" assembly replaced for about $13K, new safety bar, roller carriage, hose, shipping clear across the country, and installation. Hoists save a lot of time, do a lot of work, and handle things safely. They are not something to be cheap with.

Ohh that's different, we have a set of the Gray WPLS 160F wheel lifts and a set of the Gray 9THR matching jack stands. The jack stands allow you to raise one unit and put on the stands for long term jobs and still be able to use the lifts for services and quicker jobs. You can also change the dip switches on two units and use them both separately, two and two.

We have 4 Stertil Koni Earth Lifts which are the column lifts. Rated at 18000 each and have wireless communication with each other. They can be set to have all 4 at the same time, 2 and 2, or single. They have adjustable speed and limit out if they sense that one area has gone too much further than any of the other areas. We have the jack stands to go with them as well.
We also have a BendPak drive on lift which is pretty convenient for oil changes, lube jobs and things like that.

4X Rotary MOD-35's 60K lifts in ground. 1 SL212 that's a little too light on anything heavier that a 3/4 ton. An A-Bus is too heavy and a F450 dump is too heavy. 1 wash bay lift that Rotary used to make that uses 2 MOD-35 rams with a H shaped drive on platform, with a third ram for the other end of the bus so we can wash under a fully lifted bus. These are all 30 years old. Pretty good HD lifts.
