i have this bus with i no is a bad injector i just dont no whick one and u cant do an injector balance test with service max anymore does anyone have any ideas how i can find out which injector is bad
Might aim one of those point and read thermometers at the exhaust manifolds near where they attach to heads and compare the readings between cylinders..
At my old job with the Very Terrible 365s (HA) I always had the garage do the whole side of the engine with the bad injector. - If one is going, the rest are going to follow, especially on a bus that old.
I checked the temps on all the cylinders and 6 and 8 are 50 degrees cooler then the rest so I am going with those to cylinders I had the same thinking on changing all the injectors but this bus is only in services for another 6 months so the boss wants to just go with the two and hope for the best don't wanna put money into it so will see but the others will probably go soon
Last T444E I did had an injector cup leaking, between that and a worn valve stem and some broken off exhaust manifold bolts I ended up pulling the head.....
i replaced the injectors for number 6 and 8 cylinder it runs great now but for the hell of it i put my temperature gun on the manifolds just to see temps and still cylinder 6 and 8 are about 30 degrees cooler the 2 and 4 then i checked other side and 3 and 4 where also 30 degrees cooler then 1 and 2 but like i said it runs great now dont no for how long til the other injectors go but hoping it last a couple months
