Dash has gone totally dead.
This is my first issue with this generation dash. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Scott

Try swapping out ESC with another bus. I had one do the same thing, it did say electrical fault on the odometer screen. ESC fixed the dash problem.

Oh wow, the problem we had was the gauges all went dead, all the lights worked including the odometer screen. ESC may not be the problem then. Have you looked in the eletrical panel for a dash fuse? I don't remember if there is a fuse for the dash. Can you connect with ServiceMaxx?

Okay,
5a dash fuse is good. I can connect with ServiceMaxx and Logic Builder.

I had key on, computer connected, no parking/running lights but they do come on with the headlights. When I tried to activate the light self check, the dash powered up and everything is now working.
I hate when that happens.
Guess I'll send it out and see what happens.

Maybe try disconnecting battery for a ten count.

oh, I see you got it going.

I thought of that dash beeper that sometimes quits working and works again after battery dis/reconnect, thought it to be worth a shot.

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback

I'll keep you posted. I'll bet your first idea, ESC, will be the culprit.

I did have a bad connection once on the ESC that made the dash act up, I disconnected and then reconnected the plugs on the ESC and never had another problem out of it. But the one where the gauges quit turned out to be the ESC.

It went out again. I'll pull the plugs (ESC) and check for a bad connection next

Not sure if bus you have falls into the date range for this AFC Number: G-08905, but they had issues on some busses built around 2008 where the wiring to back of dash was rubbing on defroster duct and could cause intermitent operation..

@slippert, this bus has the later version with the cut-out.

When I came in this morning it was working again.

Anyone have a part number for the center cluster?

2602893C92 Part Search Cross Reference IP CLSTR CTR MDGL BLK ENG/ENG 2602893C93

The second number is the "service number" 170 or so in stock unless you're in Canada...

No issues since the dash change. Is there a way to change the mileage/hours to each buses proper mileage?

Evidently that data is kept in the dash.

Thanks

When purchasing a replacment 2008 and newer dash/Electronic gage cluster in past...My dealer told me they had to set miles on new EGC with their software... you are correct it does keep it logged in dash... I would be curious to know if you find out a way to reset mileage in house..

I'm trying to see if I can do it with Logic Builder. I bet that I have to take it back to the dealer.
I'll be very surprised if the end user can change hours and/or miles.
