Hey guys,

We've got a new 2015 IC here with a Ricon S-Series Lift that has quit operating for us. At first it wouldn't Stow either, but by adjusting the pressure it will now stow.

When the deploy button is pressed the solinoid will click and the little floor lock will flicker a bit, but nothing happens. No motor sounds.

If we release the lift manually we are fine. It will deploy and lower.

This lift is a bit different than our older lifts. This lift has a fancy little circuit board, but everything looks alright (no burned connections)

We don't seem to have any power travelling through the electronic pressure switch.

They have tried contacting Ricon, but they can't seem to help us out over the phone, and they don't have a tech in our region.

Any Ideas?

Thanks.

The pump motor does not run in "deploy" as I recall. Spring tension kicks the lift out then the weight and gravity take over. However, the solenoid should release the pressure to allow this. Many times and I do mean many times, the operator will extend the cord too far thus partially unplugging the connector inside the control pendant. Take it apart and check would be my first step.

Good luck, let us know what you find.

Thanks for the help! Problem turned out to be a small microswitch on the floor of the bus.
