We have a 2004 IC CE300 with an air seat, no air brakes, and we need a new air tank, IH part number 1660874C1. Dealers say none in captivity, tanks are on national back order list. Checked with truck dealership, they had no luck either. We are considering replacing it with a different tank and just making it fit. Anyone had the same problem or have any ideas on a fix? |

If it is just for the seat it may be cheaper and easier to just change the seat out to a self contained unit. Im not sure on the laws for tank size when it is just running the seat. |

Put it on critical.....usually if a part is put on critical back order, they find one somewhere in a few days. |

Among other places, NAPA has dozens of different size air tanks available, most cost less than half what IH wants. Search "Air brake tank" at http://www.napaonline.com/ |

Found one at NAPA. Same size, fittings position a little different, but will be glad to do some plumbing. |
