I need some help here with my DT . While bus was on route bus started running rough , smoked and check engine came on and lost power . Checked for codes and came back with turbo actuator was either low on voltage or not being found ? Awhile back a hose blew out on the turbo .During all this a check transmission light came on . I checked for fuel and seem to have plenty . When I try to start bus doesn't even act like it wants too . I do see smoke out of the tailpipe . Where should I start ? Thanks

At this point I might see if I could get a tachometer reading while cranking.

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback

I've had cam sensor failures that didn't set codes, or set random unrelated codes.

Sounds like they gave you a CMP for a VT365, they're about 5" long.

Check for fuel pressure. Should have about 40 - 50 PSI .

There is a port on the left side below the valve cover gasket has a valve stem cap on it and the napa tester is what we have should work fine.

Is this a egr engine? along with cking fuel pressure.. maybe ck clean power and ground circuits..05 IC's and newer had issues with fuse holders in battery box causing no start...Do you have pressure while cranking on High pressure oil rail?
Sorry to say if you don't have one , but access to a laptop and engine software would be a good thing, could tell you alot...
