Can't figure this one out. We have a 2000 DT466E that once warmed up a bit the engine stumbles. Acts kind of like you turn the key off then back on quickly. Heres the kicker, it only stumbles when the air compressor is loaded. Once unloaded runs like a champ. Does it at idle and when holding rpm's up. When this happens it sets a 143 cam sensor code. We have replaced the following: cam sensor engine harness air compressor We have pulled the front cover and inspected the gear train, cam thrust and sensor plate. No problems found. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas?
Check for irratic reading or above actual ICP pressure. Have seen ICP reading pressure with just the key on. If so replace the ICP sensor. When the ECM sees the reading higher than the desired it cuts back ICP by the IPR and brings it too low causing stumble/ Stalling. When bringing the ICP down it will set cam and crank sensor codes.
