I know the GAWR of my bus is 30000. What is the empty weight of a standard 72 passenger bus?
Thanks,
Dave

Empty weight for a 2004 IC CE-300, DT466, hydraulic brakes, 71 passenger = 15,703.

This number is posted on the side of the bus, near the door, which I believe is an IL state requirement.

Geez that is a heck of a difference! No wonder the Thomas I drove always seemed more solid and tank-like than the IC's! I wish I would have weighed my Carpenter.

I wish I remembered how much my 96 AmTran RE 72 pas. weighed, but I really don't think it was that much less than the 84. Only a four foot diff.

Best way to tell is the Manufacturers Statement of Origin...which comes with all new vehicles. I don't beleive the figure on there includes fuel, so add about 600-700 lbs if it has a 100 gallon tank.
