hey Guys I'm new here. we have a '99 international 3400 with a t444e engine and it will not start, and has several codes log in it. 543,224,615. we don't have any manuals or diagnostic tool for this bus. but we do have tool for our Ford E450's. can anyone help with these code and direction of where to look for the problems. I have check for air restriction and for fuel pressure. we do have a pro-link 9000 and was able toi see that we have injector pressure and engine RPM's. the pro-link tells me that we have one code of SID 252 FMI 7 calib module sys not responding. is this the ijector driver module on the PCM. thanks for your help in advance

Here are the codes for 1998 - 2004 T444E
What cartridge are you using in your prolink to get the codes?? I think it is for the 3 box ECM (Pre 1998) . Try retreiving DTC codes using the dash flash codes and repost them here.

HEY MAINT,
543 IS MOST LIKELY I D M RELAY, 224 IS PROBLEM WITH E C U . MIGHT GO AWAY WITH FIX ON OTHER CODE. 615 IS KEEP ALIVE MEMORY COULD BE SET WITH DEAD BATT. I WOULD CLEAR CODES AND START OVER. WITH OUT A EST TOOL JUST PUSH AND HOLD DIAGNOSTIC BUTTON, JUST UNDER DASH, TURN ON KEY WHILE HOLDING BUTTON, PUMP THROTTLE 3 TIMES SLOWLY. THIS WILL CLEAR CODES. TRY AND START , RECHECK CODES, CALL ME IN AM

Does it crank? If it does try a cam sensor or the IPR. These cam sensors fail without warning. The IPR locknut backs off and the engine will quit and maybe restart after excessive cranking. Also check the electrical connections to the ECU and the splice connectors. They can get corroded and give intermittent voltage to the ECU. Call your local IH dealer and ask them for a list of codes and get yourself a copy of the engine diagnostic manual. You will probably need it later.

start with the first code, check cables at battery, there are 2 smaller cables attached with inline fuses, they get corroded.
