That's an IC; probably a CE if it's a First Student bus.

So, the last bus in the news with a fire was an IC. Wonder what's up with that?

My personal opinion...these fires are electrical problems gone extremely wrong. Modern buses from any manufacturer could have these issues, but the latest have been IC products. This forum is filled with pesky electrical issues. Even in our safety-focused business, we often forget it doesn't take much for a pesky issue to become a big problem.

Yes, it can. And we (I) do forget that. These last couple fires should help us to want to pay attention. I really want to know what caused both these fires so I can be aware enough to prevent one on mine.

As someone who checks out the insurance auction site about once a week, I will tell you that all 3 bus makers have buses that burn on a regular basis. You can't cram all of the wiring into such tiny places and expect no trouble out of it.

Yep, you were right. I wonder what the common denominator is?
