3000 Allison in a 2011 IC bus shifts scary violently and erratically. Pushing the up down arrows on touch pad shifter five times and I get "d1 --", I assume that means no codes?

Do you have a twin bus you could swap TCM's with and see if the issues follow? I only ask because twice this year we have seen downright bizarre issues caused by faulty TCM's.

Do you hav Allison software? You can go onto action requests and reset adaptive shift parameter to see if that works, also look at throttle position percentage to see if it erratic as well.

No Allison software here.

I did leave the battery cables disconnected overnight and now it seems to shift fine.........

No but I did remove it to check and see if tone wheel was loose on shaft.
