Personally, I see this as a good thing. The federal government is so far removed from the front lines that they aren't efficient in education. The feds might should be called upon to set up some standards, such as what they do with weights and measures, but beyond that our government isn't set up for that. We are suppose to take responsibility on a local & state level. Whatever side of any given issue that you're on, you have to believe we can do better job with it locally. This used to be common sense.
