Good Afternoon Guys, I am wondering if you guys clean your own filters or send them out to get thermal cleaned? I am also wondering if anyone has had to replace them and found that the "aftermarket" filter was better then the Original filter. Any Tips, Advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have replaced 2 DPFs with aftermarket ones. Supplied by my local IC dealer. Too soon to know their life span, but so far so good.

We send ours out. $200 to be cleaned. They then test it and it's $100 more if it needs baked.

We go straight to the clean and bake for $300 at our local Navistar truck dealer. We send them the DOC and the DPF.

There are some local shops that clean them. They have the necessary equipment to clean properly.
