I have 2 buses with the 5.9 Cummins in Tc 2000 . Both have oil coming out of where the oil goes in . I have tried bigger O'rings with some success . I have tried new caps . I have tried pugs with expandable rubber donuts . The last one works somewhat . Do I need to replace the valve covers ? What has anyone else done if anything to fix this ? It's making a mess on the engines . Thanks
Not sure if the 5.9 is the same setup as the 6.7, but on a couple of our 6.7s, there is a spout under the the cover where the crankcase filter goes and they broke and were leaking oil and it gave the appearance of the oil cap leaking.
