We thought you might be interested in this story on two proposed bills in Florida that seek to toughen penalties on motorists who illegally pass a school bus and strike a student.

How was this person not charged with involuntary manslaughter at the very least?

I agree, how could they not be charged with anything but an involuntary manslaughter charge? They broke the law and it resulted in the death of a child, what am I missing? Even the new proposed laws are way too soft!
