Hello, ive got a 2002 thomas saf-t-liner that has stiff steering at idle and a stand still. If i bring RPMS up to 1000 the steering is normal or if i roll the steering is normal. The reservor has been drained, aluminum pieces were found in the reservoir so the hydraulic pump was changed. system was flushed and the problem is still there.
I believe there should be a filter in the steering reservoir, has that been changed? King pins, lubed and not worn, tie rod ends and drag link, lubed and not worn. Also front tire pressure correct and not low?
