Hello very possible something happened to the hpop when it was rxr or its just bad timing and there is a issue under the valve covers as far as leaks. Below is a post I did a while back, I copyed it and stuck it below. Basically if we have a high pressure oil issues with these int engines I have a prota power set up. If it passed the porta power test the problem has to be with the supply, weather its a pump, icp sensor, ipr or supply issue. Give it a read. If it passed this test I would be installing a pump. Defiantly helps with diag on these engines and not expensive to set up. COPYED POST--What we have is a porta power filled with engine oil, I had short hoses with fittings made up for the 466, 7.3 and the 6.0 as well. If I suspect a low hpop problem on the scanner I disconnect the line to head, install the porta power and I should get 1,500 psi within 3-4 pumps and it should hold 600 psi no problem .If this is good than everything under the valve cover is good and I have a pump/ipr/supply issue[99% time pump issue]. If I can not build or hold pressure I am 100% sure the problem is under the v/c. Had it for the 7.3 and have just been making up new adapters as the engines changed. |
