For those who haven't heard, Volkswagen will be buying 16.6% of Navistar. I have a driver who's husband works at the Springfield plant...I'm going to see what he has to say about this move.

What say you?

It'll give us another engine option maybe? Heard about it the other day when the IC sales guy came by.

Yeah, I read that. Wonder if that's due to financial issues or VW just wanting into the US market. It's really too bad that there isn't a US company that could buy in. It seem like we don't have the drive in this country any longer. I just watched "Harley and the Davidsons" the last three nights. We need more people like them in our country again. People with honor, integrity, and a drive to succeed! I'm optimistic that it will happen but not sure when.

I would say a little from column A and column B.

People supposedly in the know at Navistar have really been bashing on the former CEO, saying he was bent on making EGR-only work despite the engineers warning him that it was a disaster in the making. I wonder how accurate that it VS engineering taking the fall for the Maxxforce nightmares.
