I'm not too educated on Allison transmissions, but I'm learning as we have a fleet of 90 buses with them. The code 2723 is "Pressure Control Solenoid 1, stuck off" and code 776 is "Pressure Control Solenoid 2, stuck off". Someone might have to help out with this, but sounds to me like you could have a blockage in the valve body. |

We had these same codes a few months ago. I removed the valve body and cleaned it, put it back in, no help. I replaced the valve body, as per allison doc troubleshooting, not help. I now have the rebuilt transmission sitting behind me and will install it on Monday. |

pull the pan and check for any metal in the pan, if so it needs a trans. Also the wire harness in the pan is big cause of alot of our trans problems with solenoid codes. |

Lol...hey, at least you know what your problem is now! I'd rather it be that way than find nothing and your still on the hunt. |

even though the fluid looks clean, i suggest you pressurize the cooling system just in case. ive seen the same thing happen when a cooler started leaking and just a bit of coolant mixing into the trans fluid destroyed the clutches. |
