I work for a place that uses Thomas EFs to transport people with disabilities. (part time) - they have Cummins ISB 07 engines. One bus has had 3 ECUs in its life time. its a 2008 with 130k on it. The other is a 2010 and has 110k on it and has two ECUs. Is anyone else seeing this w/ these buses?

We have replaced four 4943134RX ECM's in the past three months. Two were on '08 models and two were on '11 models. We have 32 '08's and 28 '11's.

Ours were repeatedly losing their programming. One of our best techs I asked about it said it could have been any of a number of things. He specifically mentioned jumping the bus off with 24V or running the batteries down with the ignition on.

I am not seeing this with the BB Visions that my school runs tho (with the same engine) I am wondering if it is heat related.

Several failures in the front engine birds around here. Could well be the heat.

We've done three of that ECM on '08-'09 BB A3FEs, and one on an '02 Ford F650. All our Visions are ISB10 or propane, and our C2s are all propane, so I can't comment there.
