Have an 07 BB RE 8.3 that loses power when driving at highway speeds. The RPM doesn't go down but the boost will drop on the turbo 10-15 psi before it catches itself and goes back to normal. What do I need to look at? Sorry, I know this is a noob question. Thanks in advance.

Any codes? Seems like that kind of hiccup would set something.

I would start with that code right there. It will be inactive if the problem isn't occurring when you have the diagnostics connected.

Could very well be an air leak on the charge air side - look for a loose clamp. Or a face-plugged DPF. Or a turbo (we've had no luck changing the VGT actuator here...)

Already checked for an air leak at the boots and tubes. Couldn't find one. I will check the DPF for soot plugging the face. Thanks.

The face of the DOC is pretty well plugged. Going to get it cleaned and see what happens.

Yep, next step is to see if the face plugging is the cause or if it's the result of the code disabling regen.
