I installed an HPOP on a DT 466 E today . Now this is not the first time I have done this . The first time I replaced one I cranked on that engine for probably 10 minutes or more .With cool downs I was at it for 30 minutes . Is there a right way to start the engine after install ? The first one I was questioning if the pump I pulled was bad . This is one that died and would never start . During cranking I showed 200 lbs .Thanks

The minimum pressure to start is 650 lbs. remove the oil temp sensor and see if the HPOP galley has oil in it.

If there is no oil in the oil temp sender when you pull it out the the problem is with the oil pump in the front cover. And that is not a good thing!
