A 9-year-old student at Highland Park Elementary School in Maryland was reportedly attacked on her school bus and pummelled while other riders cheered. The bus driver didn't stop to intervene, employee policies and legal liabilities concerning the intervention in violent situations notwithstanding. The victim tried to back away from the fight and refused to fight back, but to no avail; she sustained moderate injuries as a result.
