Anyone have a good contact in allison warranty? Got a 3000 that's still under warranty that took out a cummins motor in one of our c2's. The short version is half a dozen bolts that bolt the tq to the trans broke off and took out rear main loaded the oil up with metal and took the turbo and scored the bearings and having issues getting anywhere with warranty. The OLD GENERAL MOTORS ALLISON was run by people that were brought up the OLD GENERAL MOTORS way. "They have never heard of your problem before." ALLISON customers paid out millions of dollars for repair failures that Allison had full knowledge of the potential failure rate and shuffled papers between "high ranking desks" and ultimately said nothing because it would cost them much less to pay warranty claims then to admit to a problem they would have to correct. Some of the problems were continued to be built into the transmissions for many years as General Motors tried to sell off the Allison Division rather than retool as they eventually had to do anyway.
I suggest that you go to the top and contact SHARON DEAN - V.P. Quality & Reliability. She started at Allison in 1975 and worked her way to Director of Quality & Reliability in 1998 and became a V.P. in the new company. (Sharon is one of the very top rungs on the Allison ladder)
My hope that the "GOOD OLD BOYS" mentality is no longer in use.
