Symptoms are low coolant level orange triangle and red stop sign at start up with overheat on test drive.
Coolant is full coolant level sensor has been replaced and wiring checked. Thermostat and water pump has been replaced pressure tested no leaks anywhere. Fan is kicking on properly. Inspected coolers they checked out fine changed them 6 months ago along with egr valve and a set of injectors with pucks. Talked to my dealer they are going to try and reprogram them but there 2-3 weeks till they can have a tech out my way anyone got any ideas?
Start with checking and providing all DTCs' Must have some with triangle lamp on . Is it pushing coolant out of the cap or just getting above critical temperature ? How hot ? 218 - 224 ? 224 set a critical Overheat DTC and will de- rate the engine. Also is there a brass orifice in the de-airation hose before the surge tank coming from the top of the EGR cooler.
