issue is engine vibration when accelerate over 2000rpm
transmission gear position makes no difference

doesn't seem to be missing and seems to have plenty of power, no complaints from the driver, either. issue was noticed by another mechanic who drove it back from a service call

Do you think that the harmonic balancer has slipped or been damaged? Possible that the balance weights on the flywheel or torque converter fell off?
Just a couple of guesses

Proper diagnostics is very important to elimate possibilities. Does this happen only under load? Can you duplicate it in neutral with the brakes set? A problem injector can make an engine act very different even though power may seem good. Following diagnostic steps outlined in ON Command Information System will help you.
