1998 DT466E will not start intermittently, sometimes by moving on the wiring harness it will start. Don't have access to scanner and doesn't have a diagnostic button on dash for flash codes. Is there a way of jumping the connections on the interface plug to get flash codes. It would be useful to have a wiring schematic to trace the wires.
I think with these internationals if you hit the "cruise on" button and "resume" at the same time it will flash the codes on the cluster if you have the key on and the motor off. You just need to count the flashes. I could be wrong on this though. Somebody else may need to chime in.
EDIT** There is a button beside the plug-in for the code reader.

That vintage would have a diagnostics button to run the flash codes, button would either be on or under the dash, if under it will be near steering column.

Yep, you are right fastback. Did a little research at our depot this morning. There is a button right where the code reader plugs in (under the dash & cluster). It will flash the codes.
