Hey guys

Do the Maxx Force DT engine use a glow plug system or a grid heater system?

We have a 2012 bus here that is a bit cranky to start if it's just below freezing (-1 to -5 C), and has been sitting overnight.

The driver says that he needs to hold down on the pedal a bit while it cranks to get it started. Otherwise it will just rollover and not catch.

The mechanics were just wondering if the glow plugs / grid heater are working.

The coil/pigtail light comes up on the dash for the normal period and then goes out.

Any tips?

Grid Heater. Should not be touching the pedal while cranking.

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback

There are 2 wires on the intake grid heater, they should both be hot during cyle.
