I am going to look at a Blue Bird CV200 with Caterpillar 3126 motor and 545 transmission. Bus has 174,000 miles and looks well maintained. I wondered what everyone's personal opinion is of this engine.

Also, what are some things I should be looking at drivetrain wise when i go to look at the bus?

I have seen several around here with engine failure around 175-200k but on the other hand heard they are great until you have to work on them. They take special tools to perform certain maintenance like injectors I am told also. Good luck I have always liked that combo and it was a good fit, but now GM parts are almost impossible to find anymore.

I know it is. I'm opting one with a T-444-E so I can get the parts easier.
