Do well at the state level mechanic competition, and represent your state at the national level. |

It was great getting to meet you both Kevin and Denver. I hope you had a great time up here in Seattle. We had a blast hosting the event, and NAPT and the America's Best team sure put on a great program of training, competition and fun for the 4 days. Thanks to Paccar and Kenworth, and the Federal Way School District for the use of their facilities.

Had a great time in Seattle, WAPT did an outstanding job in putting everything together. It was good to have met everyone and put faces with names. Thanks to Tom and his WAPT crew for putting up with all of us. |

Ive been in the bus business for 25 years and have never heard of school bus tech competitions. What does it take to compete? Do you need sponsorship? Are the tests generic enough so someone who doesnt work on say cummins or blue birds could still figure out a diagnosis or does one need to know every single brand? What are the awards? |

Mastertech, If you go to http://www.americasbesttech.org/ you will find most all the info one would need. Some States do not have a competition, but there are provisions for that. The site will let you know better than I can about the two divisions, Inspector and Technicians. And it will also explain about the hands on testing and the ASE written test. They do have fun too, and its always a pleasure to meet and talk with some good people. |
