I hate to ask this, but I suppose that is why we are all here!

I have an new-used AmTran FE in the fleet with a fuel filter that I've seen before, but have never had to work on. It's the kind with the filter media inside a clear plastic box. I'm sure you International guys know the one.

HOW does a guy change that thing and not lose fuel system prime?
Any helpful hints for changing?
Happen to know the NAPA p/n for the filter?
Change it for the spin-on Racor?

Thanks!

If it is what I'm thinking it is, it is like the old farm tractor filters. These were a glass box and they had a metal clip over the whole thing that you took off and you replace the entire unit. As far as keeping your prime, all our tractors had a primer pump.
