| So, I get called over to my special needs annual mechanic's bay to show me a problem with a replacement air filter in a 2013 Vision. He shows me that the NAPA 9519/Wix 49519/Carquest 83519 filter doesn't fit tightly in the housing - bails are loose and filter spins. I immediately double-check the BB part number on the old filter, 0087782, and verify that it's the same number they've been using for years that still crosses to the 9519. I call our BB dealer (who has an in-house NAPA depot) and he verifies the 9519 fits loose on a brand new bus, but they've been installing 9519's for years on older Vision services. I check out one of our 2012 Visions - it has a 9519 installed and the new out of box 9519 fits perfectly. Anyone else seen this? AAAUGH! |
