I have a 444E with the dip stick fitting at the pan leaking. I have read that International has a kit that you can repair it without pulling the pan. Our local dealer does not know anything about it. Does anyone know the part number.

Here is some discussion on this forum about your subject. I just remembered it. lol, kind of unusual for me to remember anything lately. http://www.schoolbusfleet.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=23954&SearchTerms=dipstick,

Do you remove or loosen the starter for some room or just work around it.

Take the starter off.
The most important step in the entire repair is NOT dropping the dipstick tube adapter into the pan, you don't want to be working around anything that will increase your "pucker" factor.
