The sealant between the firewall and the front of the body just below the windshield has split and the firewall seems loose. Looking under the hood and up under the dash I can't find any bolts that hold the firewall to the front of the body. Any thoughts?

Would I be correct in assuming we’re talking about a 04+ Thomas Freightliner FS-65? This is the only model I’ve ever had this problem with. If so, the nuts and bolts are all on the inside and there are only a few bolts that you will be able to see under the dash, the rest are hidden on the driver side by the front switch panel and on the door side by the panel covering the defroster duct work. I’ll try to remember to take some pics tomorrow, but if I remember correctly I replaced 12-14 bolts total.

Now that's good! No bus make, model or year and you already have a line on his problem. I'm impressed!

There's not a problem with that just ask your dealer! Can't say about any thing newer than FS65 but every Thomas we ever had the cowels came loose on or the bolts snapped and hit the driver!
