Any body know, whats tha filters and how many quarts of oil needs my bus? it has a gasoline engine, i think is a 6.0? i need help!!!!

It will take a 1794 napa filter and they usually take around 9 quarts of oil. I always put a quart of oil in the new filter before i put it on.

Didn't want to start a new thread, so I am taking this one over!

Can somebody give me the air filter number (napa or otherwise) for an 83 GMC with the 8.2 NA?

Also, those old engines...how much oil on an oil change service? This Detroit thing is a new adventure for me.

I think our 8.2Ls hold 16 quarts with two napa 1060 filters. If you use the larger 1794s you will need to add 2 more quarts. We change ours at 8000 miles. I cant remember the air cleaner number. I'll see if I can look it up tomorrow.

Sounds about right. Thanks for the info...if you happen across that air filter, let me know, otherwise I'll make NAPA earn their money and find it for me!
