I have a 1992 International DT360 with hydraulic brakes. We have forever tried to get this light to quit coming on at random, this light I speak of is the "Brake Press" light!!! The light and beeper can be reset if you shut the bus off then turn it back on, but comes back on when it feels like it. We have performed the following repairs with no luck:

1. Replaced all power steering hoses (dealer recommended)
2. Replaced power steering pump (dealer recommended)
3. Replaced master cylinder (shot in the dark)
4. Replaced E-motor (you never know)
5. Replaced brake lines to the master cylinder (leaking)

Brakes and calipers are like new all the way around. I hope someone can help, this has been a thorn in my side for a long time.

Make sure switches on brake pedal are properly synchronized.
Make sure you have good grounds on the brake lights.
Make sure hose clamps on power steering return hose are tight.

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback

Thanks Fastback , I remember now about the brake switches needing to be synchronized. I'll have my guys check all that out. Keep you posted on the fix.

just about guarantee you that it's the brake light switches. That generation was extremely picky about the switches being synched.

Had one one time that drove us nuts had to leave the white switch on the side of the master cylinder backed out a turn, if tigthened down would beep and light the light and the valve was centered.

Update: Syncing the 2 brake switches seems to have fixed it (crossing fingers). Thanks for all the tips.
